A few of my favourites. Clockwise from top left: A fun and easy DIY project via Poppytalk, a wedding cake gets a stripey treatment, cushions to add pizazz, chevron necklace, and summer dressing from Country Road. Background; Jorun Ikea rug.
It’s been a busy couple of weeks with a wedding shoot, injuring an ankle (ouch!) and non co-operative cameras….
For today I wanted to share with you my current favourite go-to, no fuss (and somewhat North Amercian come to think of it) breakfast when you need something good and quick. No more excuses when running out the door as this smoothie will set you back all of 2 minutes to prep! I also used this as a styling project (shot in the backyard in my uggies and dressing gown no less!). I hope you like this as much as I do!
Styled and photographed by me.

…in these knitted pieces for the home (cw from top left): I love the idea of crocheted stones seen over at Lonny Magazine, a weaved vase from Anthropologie, cable knit cushion, green cable knit scarf from Old Navy, knitted vase and floor cushion available from Ferm Living, Paola Lenti poufs, and knitted stool by Claire-Anne Obrien.

Spring has definitely sprung in our corner of the globe! I was lucky enough to shoot a beautiful vintage themed wedding on the weekend with the most pretty details and stunning weather to match.
On the theme of vintage I thought I’d share this gorgeous rustic table setting I came across recently.
Styled by the brilliant Glen Proebstel.

Today I bring you the gorgeous work of Lo Bjurulf and Kim Ficaro to brighten your mood. Who knew white on white interiors and still life could look so amazing? Of course with professional photography these images have been set up and crafted with flair and precision, however these stylists show us how it can be done beautifully by simply layering different textures in the same tonal range to create a fresh, serene space. This has inspired me to set up and shoot my own still life in ‘whites’ - watch this space for a sneak peek!

There is something that gets me super excied about food styling, and this has got to be my favorite looking food out there at the moment. Katie Quinn Davies sure has a great eye and sensitivity for styling and shooting scrummy recipes and she has such a great story to boot. Check out Katie’s brilliant blog for other stories and street photography during her travels which capture the beauty of the everyday. If you are a fan as I am, keep an eye out for Katie’s very first book which should be available early next year.

I have a thing for cutesy (illustrated!) moustaches. What kid or adult wouldn’t love these? Now don’t be hurting yourself on purpose now…
Seen over at Urban Outfitters.

I have had my eye on this ‘Black Flag’ print by Rachel Castle for so long. I would love to see it hanging in my lounge, but sadly it’s a one off piece! What I love about her work is the playful use of colour, shape and positive quotes. Check out more colourful joy here.

Beautiful image making by Kim Ficaro. One of my first prop stylist inspirations. This is why I have collections of random feathers and shells!
