I’m not really one for New Years resolutions. Rather I have made some decisions about what I’d like to incorporate into my days from now on that will make myself and others around me glad, grateful and slow down to appreciate the everyday. Things like having fresh flowers in the house, either bought or snippets from the garden. Hand writing notes to friends to let them know I’m thinking of them, rather than a text or email which doesn’t seem to hold as much value these days. Not being afraid of using, designing with or wearing colour, and actually stopping to pick up that fallen feather or interesting seed pod as it strikes my fancy. Here’s to the simple things, which really make up the fabric of our every days.
