Today I want to share with you this really cute and easy DIY idea seen over at Sweet Paul. With the crisp, chilly mornings we have been having this kinda warms me up a little! Although my hands and feet will remain stubbornly cold until Spring comes I think…

Why shouldn’t our homewares get a little cosied up for Winter too, right? If you give this a go please share some images with me!

Bedroom furniture, like any furniture, is a really personal choice and will determine the kind of look you want to give your place of rest in the home.

Recently I have seen some really creative and interesting ways to incorporate bed heads into a room, and they aren’t necessarily expensive or your typical idea of what a headboard might be. These inspiring ideas are a good reminder that things can be done in a different and inexpensive way, to achieve stylish and unique results.

When I find myself in a decorating dilemma where nothing seems to work, I rely on my collection of  books to come to my rescue. Books in varied sizes and colored spines provide an instant solution by filling up empty shelves and coffee tables.

One trend I have seen a bit of lately in interiors editorial photography and design shows  is the flipside of traditional book display which I love! By  grouping books page side out, you get a wonderful array of neutral tones (depending on the books’ age!) that helps to create texture within the same tonal range, plus an art installation of sorts! If the idea of having your well read and often used titles flipped is frustrating,  then you may want to collect an assortment of old books from your local thrift store or garage sale to use instead.
